Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Singapore Business Federation Executed a Memorandum of Understanding

 

 

TOKYO, October 17, 2011 - Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC, President : Takeshi Kunibe) announced today that it has executed a Memorandum of Understanding (gMOUh) with Singapore Business Federation (gSBFh), the largest corporate association in Singapore, to begin their mutual cooperation including supporting Japanese corporations to initiate their businesses in Singapore.

 

SBF is the largest corporate association in Singapore having more than 17,000 local and foreign corporations as its members.@

 

SMBC will cooperate with SBF to support Japanese corporations to initiate their businesses in Singapore by sharing knowledge and expertise associated with environmental businesses, and collaborating for environmental projects such as Eco-City, which SBF is involved with, in order to support business development of our clients and further increase SMBCfs exposure in the local corporations and related authorities in Singapore.

 

In August 2011, SMBC has executed an agreement to cooperate with Singapore Economic Development Board (gEDBh) for soliciting investments into Japanese corporations in Singapore for the next 3 years.  SMBC strives to improve its quality for business strategy proposals and information provided to its clients by improving information for business development or investments into Singapore, and co-sponsoring seminars.

 

Through the above-mentioned activities, SMBC plans to enhance its services for its clients to capture business opportunities to further develop their businesses in Singapore.
