Sign Memorandum of Understanding on Business Cooperation

 

 

TOKYO, September 21, 2010---Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC, President: Masayuki Oku) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on September 17, 2010, with Banco de Bogota, the second largest bank in Colombia.

 

The MOU sets out a framework for cooperation to further the interests of both financial institutions by co-developing potential business areas, such as project finance in the Andean region.

 

Further, the partnership will enable SMBC to enhance customer support by leveraging Banco de Bogotafs business network in the region as well as expand the business of SMBCfs Bogota Representative Office which was established on September 1st, 2010.
