Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and ISPAT sign Agreement on Co-operation

 

 

TOKYO, December 13, 2012 --- Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC, President: Takeshi Kunibe) announced the signing of the Agreement on Co-operation (hereafter gAgreementh) with the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency (ISPAT) on December 12, 2012, in order to promote business exchange between Turkey and Japan.

ISPAT is the official organization for promoting Turkeyfs investment opportunities to the global business community. In 2008, ISPAT opened an office in Tokyo with the aim of providing assistance to Japanese corporates entering the Turkish market, including market analysis, finding companies for potential partnerships and joint ventures, negotiations with relevant governmental institutions, and facilitating legal matters.

 

Meanwhile, SMBC opened its Istanbul Representative Office in February 2012 and has been strengthening its ability to further promote and support customersf businesses in Turkey. The signing of this Agreement reflects our proactive stance to strengthen our ability to support the business activities of Japanese corporates by securing access to timely market information and various services of ISPAT.
