Commencement of Operation of Amsterdam Representative Office

 

TOKYO , April 7, 2008 --- Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC, President: Masayuki Oku) announced today that the SMBC Amsterdam Representative Office commenced operation. The opening of this office forms part of SMBC’s network expansion strategy in Europe.

 

The purpose of SMBC Amsterdam Representative Office is to increase opportunities to gather information especially on Japanese companies operating in the Netherlands and project finance deals. The office will cooperate with the Brussels Branch to enhance SMBC’s global services.
